The Collaborative Liberal Arts Moodle Project is announcing their upcoming Winter Hack/Doc Fest, the first of 2019.

This time, the turn to host goes to Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. The chance to visit the gorgeous campus just outside Boston alone is worth the price of admission. Joining the Winter Hack/Doc Fest is free but Brandeis offers in-campus lodging options ranging between $90 and $120 per night.

The Hack/Doc Fest is designed for non-stop productive interaction with practical results around debates on liberal arts education. Do not expect a moment of idleness during the day. After an orientation meeting TBD, activities will begin on the afternoon of Monday, January 7th, with a “Code and Documentation Sprint.” But the Hack/Doc Fest officially starts on Tuesday, with two days of 9-to-5 sessions back-to-back, plus a morning finale on Thursday. During lunch, presentations will be scheduled. Those who cannot attend the event in-person can still participate in the program, thanks to the live-streaming options and the many online collaboration tools participants will use throughout.

For years, the semiannual CLAMP’s Hack/Doc Fests have been an effort to contribute to Moodle, the quality of its features and documentation for everyone; as well as to make the LMS friendlier for liberal arts and humanities activities.
