Learning content creation platform CourseArc is announcing its partnership with Quality Matters, an organization focused in maintaining quality standards and evaluating industry participants.
Quality Matters builds a hefty volume of content for workshops and courses walking users through its standard and measuring processes, deployed year long. With the announcement, the company will build its content using CourseArc.
In terms of features and end purpose, CourseArc can be compared to a number of commercial solutions available, as well as Open Source Interactivity Standard H5P.
Among its distinguishing features, CourseArc facilitates content Quality Assurance, easy deployment, customization and template-based creation; portability to Moodle and any other LTI-compliant system, and automatic conversion towards WCAG accessibility standards compliance. It is designed to enable subject matter experts without deep technological background to easily get started with content development for online learning scenarios.
CourseArc counts among its partners eThink Education, one of the largest Moodle Partners today. Moodle customers of eThink can enjoy access to the CourseArc platform and get expert support.
US-based non-profit Quality Matters delivers training followed by institutional evaluations, the successful outcome of which is the “QM Certification Mark” or badge, which they license to appear on sanctioned courses and educational content. Their processes are claimed to be supported by “solid” and copious academic research.
