The July-December 2017 Project Development Cycle, the second of the year, has reached its final stage of voting by members, who have until December 22nd, 23:55 GMT to cast their deciding votes.

From the 13 proposals that made it to the last round, 8 are active for selection. Moodle HQ deemed 5 of them unfeasible for either technical or practical reasons. Form those of you who  haven’t already cast your votes, all of the possible candidates have a chance to become the next Moodle killer feature for 2018. The proposals are (in alphabetical order):

  • “Add the Advanced Grading method feature from Assignment activity to Workshop activity” by Orzu Kamolova
  • “Adopting merge users” by Jordi Pujol-Ahulló
  • “Course Timeline editor (mass timing editor)” by Matthew Davidson
  • “Fix analytical tools for random quiz questions for consistency across use cases” by Andrew Roderick
  • “Gradebook Enhancement – Remove all ‘Exclude empty grades’” also by Andrew Roderick
  • “Option for Automatic Grade Penalties when Applying User/Group Overrides” by Dave Laurie
  • “User-based Custom Gradebook Weightings” by Dave Laurie
  • “UX Redesign for Course Restoration” by Kenneth Scott Huntley

The public, not just MUA members, can take a look at the “Project Development Cycle: July – December 2017” at moodleassociation.org, where they can find details on the projects and a general forum for discussing them. Voting, of course, is for members only.
