Moodle Mobile 3.4 And Moodle Desktop 3.4 Available With 100% Core Activity Support

Juan Leyva, leader of Moodle HQ’s Mobile Development team, recently announced the availability of Moodle Mobile 3.4 and Moodle Desktop 3.4.

The main highlight of this release is the never-before-seen compatibility of 100% of the standard functionality of the Moodle standard application on desktop computers. The Moodle Workshop was one of the few that were unavailable through apps, until now.

Moodle Mobile and Desktop do support some plugins already, the latest of which is PayPal enrollment. Furthermore, developers for Moodle 3.1 and newer can enable plugin compatibility on mobile using Moodle Mobile (and Desktop) Remote Add-ons.

Mobile Remote Add-ons are part of the best of a complete renovation of the apps, announced for the next major release, Moodle 3.5.

Other enhancements cover file management, playback of Vimeo-hosted videos, and password recovery. See “Moodle Mobile 3.4.0 release notes” here.
