Here’s a 10 minute video from the Sloan Consortium (http://sloanconsortium.org/) that showcases two options for integrating other content into a Moodle forum (or any where the text editor is available). Note that depending on your course or site filters you might get a little bit of a different functionality (for example, the Youtube filter–when enabled–will automatically embed for you) and to embed you’ll need to make sure that embedding tags are enabled for your site as well [http://docs.moodle.org/25/en/Site_policies#Allow_EMBED_and_OBJECT_tags]. In this example the narrator embeds a Popplet asset, a presentation from Brainshark, and a few other examples.
Embed or link, either way it’s easy to add additional resources and links to your Moodle course.
