A preview of the 15+ standard themes included in Moodle 2.0
The Moodle 2.0 theme set that's included with the core code has grown tremendously and is a far cry from the "Metal" and "Wood" mainstays of 1.9 and previous. These really are some class act themes and a lot of the credit is due to Patrick Malley (@ptrkmkl) of New School Learning who rebuilt the Moodle theme engine, provided a 1st glimpse at [...]
Check out this cool custom Moodle 2.0 theme (in development) by @stawebteam
Shared via Twitter by @ModuleMsystem and available on their blog here's a snapshot of a Moodle 2.0 theme under development for the University of St. Andrews . Looks pretty good to me! Note that the theme credit goes to @stawebteam according to this Tweet. Compared to their current Moodle I'd say its very consistent.
Cool spartan theme for Moodle 2.0 at the “Mt. Orange School”
The official Moodle demo site has a pretty slick new theme (featuring drop-down menus and a spartan, but really sharp color scheme). Check it out! http://school.demo.moodle.net/ while I'm not sure what theme it is specifically, but you might accomplish something similar using the Creatif theme with a white custom background (or no [...]
Funky Green Theme makes me want a Lava Lamp on my desk
Funky is definitely an apt adjective for this new theme available for Moodle 1.9.x created by Gregory Francom. Nice color scheme with a great background image. Download it at http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?d=26&rid=4173. You also might like my Lava Lamp addition (get your own at http://goo.gl/bQKC).
Moodle + Facebook aesthetics = the Foodle theme
Foodle, a Moodle theme for Moodle 1.9.x is available from Moodle Partner, UVCMS of Buenos Aires, Argentina . It's a slick, simplistic theme that evokes the basic aesthetic of Facebook while providing a full screen width and shiny new icon set. I've installed it at my own Moodle and everything looks great. I especially love the fact that it [...]
Great Moodle Help Resources from UVIC (& check out their cool themes)
The University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada (http://www.uvic.ca) has a great collection of resources for Moodle available through their site http://moodlehelp.uvic.ca/. While the site specifically focuses on the nuances of the UVIC Moodle, it also provides segmented/organized resources for students and teachers and highlights some [...]
Happy Friday: my top 5 favorite Moodle sites
I've seen a lot of Moodles. I can't resist a new Moodle link, to see the theme, the apparent activity on the front page and the various courses that are available (even though they might be closed). Checking out a new Moodle always gives me new ideas for posts, and how to design my own Moodle sites or courses. Overtime I've visited a few [...]
New Theme – Isometric by Mary Evans
There's a new theme out for Moodle 1.9x available from Moodle.org's theme database: http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?d=26&rid=4098 The theme is called Isometric and is quite striking: At my request Mary also formatted the theme to be seen with a logo: B-e-a-utiful. For more themes visit the Moodle.org theme database or follow [...]
Another Moodle 2.0 Theme from @moodledan (I like this one a lot)
This theme is an adaptation of Dan's EduMoodle theme , but it goes a little further in creating a customizable slide show as part of the header. It's pretty.
