The second annual Global Education Conference,a week-long event bringing together educators and innovators from around the world, will be held Monday, November 14 through Friday, November 18, 2011…

The Global Education Conference is a collaborative, world-wide community initiative involving students, educators, and organizations at all levels. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for building education-related connections around the globe while supporting cultural awareness and recognition of diversity.

The conference seeks to present ideas, examples, and projects related to connecting educators and classrooms with a strong emphasis on promoting global awareness, fostering global competency, and inspiring action towards solving real–world problems. Through this event, it is our hope that attendees will challenge themselves and others to become more active citizens of the world. Let us learn, question, create, and engage in meaningful, authentic opportunities within a global context!

Registration for the event is $45 AUS and entitles you to view as many or as few sessions as you like.  Each session will be replayed in order to provide the greatest possible flexibility for iMoot attendees.

How does this work?
You will see a “Register” button on both the top of this page and to the right. Clicking here will take you to the Registration area. You will be prompted for your payment of $45 AUS. The payment is being facilitated through PayPal which also means you can pay by Credit Card if you wish. Once payment is received you will have access to the main “Registration course” and from here you will be prompted to make your session choices.

How many Sessions can I choose?
Each Time-slot covering the three days is referred to as a “Session”. Each session typically is comprised of Presentation from the three streams. Your Conference fee allows you to attend as many or as few sessions as you like. All presentations will be repeated to allow for you to hopefully find one that best suits your timezone or to avoid conflicts. You can update your session choices at any time leading up to the event.

Is it too late to become a speaker?
Well yes and no. Our Teacher Stream is now full. But we still have a few vacant slots in the Enterprise and Admin/Developer streams.

US West Coast MoodleMoot 2010 – San Jose, CA – July 20-23, 2010

This MoodleMoot is part of the larger “Emerging Technologies for Online Learning (ET4Online)” symposium and conference which is coordinated jointly by the Sloan Consortium, MERLOT and MoodleMoot International Symposium.  The collaborative event will host a number of tracks (including the traditional all-Moodle track at all Moots) and is sure to draw a diverse crowd of online learners, educators and educational technology vendors (not exclusive to the Moodle LMS).

The Call for Proposals is now open; visit http://et4online.merlot.org/ to submit your session and pre-conference workshop proposals.  According to the official MoodleMoot site (http://moodlemoot.org):

The Symposium will be held July 20-23, 2010, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA. The proposal submission deadline is January 18, 2010. See the US West Coast MoodleMoot 2010 site for more details.

Additionally, this year’s West Coast US Moot is utilizing Twitter to catalog announcements and information about the event, #et4online.  The MoodleMoot International Symposium helps to organize and publicize global Moodle events.
