Here’s a cool tidbit if you’re following some of the new iOS features, specifically the voice recognition and personal assistant software that was introduced as Siri (a witty, helpful automated assistant and search tool). Unfortunately it can’t tell you what your homework is or how many students have yet to finish that quiz within a Moodle course (yet anyway) but it can call a query to the Moodle Tracker to see what’s up. While this might not be helpful to many, it certainly gives us a sense of what might be possible with a few months/years and some developmental effort.

If your Moodle was available to your personal assistant (like Siri) what would you ask it?

The discussion of the iPad app (while not referred to as MoodlEZ) begins at around 15 minutes/ends around 30.

Please note that we have not yet tested mBook on the iPad. Check back for updates as after search for/find the 3.99 in our couch cushions.

Here are a few screen shots of the new release:

The MoodleTouch team announced recently that MoodleTouch for iPad (mTouch+) has been released in the app store. It’s available to purchase for $2.99 (same as the non-iPad app) and is native (nothing to install at your Moodle site).

Purchase the app.

We’ve had a chance to try out the MoodleTouch app on the iPad and it is nice. There are some areas for improvement, but all in all the app provides a unique Moodle experience that is quite a bit different compared to accessing Moodle through the iPad’s web browser. With it’s own themes and look/feel, the app provides relatively easy access to web pages, forums and resources in Moodle (but sometimes adds an extra click when linking to files or documents).

As a quick and easy way to manage and access several Moodle accounts and sites though this is a great aggregator for Moodling.

Once again, here’s a video to see it in action:
