4 options for Moodle hosting on Amazon Web Services Marketplace

Amazon just announced its AWS Marketplace and Moodle has a place at the table (actually 4 places).

You can now get Moodle from three different vendors all suited to run Moodle in the cloud and have the choice of 32 or 64 bit.  Moodle 2.2+ anyone?

I am currently running Moodle 2.2 for a test site through BitNami Cloud and am quite happy with the results (and responsiveness).  The solutions are totally scalable, the smallest installation costing around $30 per month to run.  Increasing computer power (ram/HD storage) will increase the monthly fees and baseline.  Pay for what you use.  If  the site is for testing and playing only you can easily “turn off” the servers to conserve resources ($).

Thank you for the topic. It is actually one more option to deploy Moodle on AWS. You can use automated services like Deploy4Me to install it. You would get the complete configured environment without any fees on top of AWS.

Apart from Bitnami there is also Cloudways and Site5 that is offering Moodle hosting on AWS.
