Introducing MBot: the #1 Android client for Moodle?

There’s a new app on the block for Android users looking for tools to connect to their Moodle sites.*  Check out CodeGuild’s MBot Android Client for Moodle. According to the site the app is already available on in the App Marketplace: http://www.codeguild.com/app/mbot/index.html

It’s features include,

  • quick logins
  • posts the newest information available to you
  • adds classmate contact information to your Google contacts (optional)
  • formats Moodle pages cleanly

*I’ll be testing this in the next few days and we’ll be updating the Moodlenews.com/Mobile matrix of mobile apps.  Have you given it a try?  Let us know in the comments.

Just installed this on my LG Optimus One and linked it to my RTO’s moodle.
The login works just fine although this first login seemed to be very slow.
Once in I got a list of courses and from there it pulled in a list of all the different activities and resources.
The only problem I had was that, when I tried to enter a quiz or lesson I just got redirected to the front page of the site.

I definitely need some more time to play but it certainly looks interesting :)

Just tried to find mBot on Android Marketplace – could not find. Went to url to find that it is “on hiatus” from the marketplace – “too much support, too little time”. Disappointing….
