On the great page of resources that NJIT (New Jersey’s Science and Technology University) has pulled together, there’s a handy Youtube video that they use to introduce and explore the notion of an online course.

The following is an embed of the video “A Tour of Moodle” [12 minutes], which is narrated/produced by NJIT’s Norbert Elliot. It focuses on his own course and highlights the differences between fully online and hybrid course design. Additionally it shows the NJIT philosophy of Moodle use, which includes archived courses, student portfolios and the power of saving/storing information in an online repository such as Moodle.
It’s a great overview of Moodle for anyone trying to get a handle on what Moodle does:
