Though there’s more hype about Moodle2.0. The steadily improving and very stable Moodle 1.9.x versions are progressing nicely. According to a quick message sent by Martin Dougiamas to developers at Moodle.org:
This is a heads-up that 1.9.8 is coming soon with a few security fixes.
No date has been given.
