CROT is a plagiarism detection plug-in for Moodle that provides detection for institution based plagiarism (students copying from other students) and web-based (student copying from the world wide web).
The plug-in is aimed on digital plagiarism detection: assignments copied from peers from the same institution as well as assignments copied from the Internet. Block is based on document fingerprinting technologies for pair-wise document comparison and MSN Live search engine to perform global search.
If you’ve been looking for a way to combat potential plagiarism, this seems like a quick and easy tool for your Moodle to shore up student accountability without putting a huge burden on teachers.
