Moodle services WIRIS: Maths for Education

@howtoMoodle shows the #Moodle2 theme, learn how to get it now for your current Moodle

@howtomoodle showed off the Moodle 2.0 theme recently, specifically how easy it is to create a custom menu for quick access of your most important and popular resources: http://bit.ly/bWznpI.  The new theme options in 2.0 are certainly a great addition to make Moodle pages more flexible and customizable.

If you’re interested in getting that funcationality on your Moodle now though there are some great theme options available to get your site there.

The theme applied to my test Moodle at KeytoSchool.com comes with that functionality.  The theme is called “Parchment” and is available at NewSchoolLearning.com): http://www.newschoollearning.com/moodle/?&theme=parchment_green.  The menu option is actually a plug-in/module for Moodle that’s supported by KeytoSchool and is available in the Moodle.org extension repository: http://moodle.org/mod/data/view.php?d=13&rid=3089.

Here’s a screen shot of my theme with an additional link back to Moodle News.

Editing the theme to add additional menu links is very easy (when editing is on the option is available):

When editing the menu it’s easy to drag and drop and to create a hierarchy within your links.

Super easy, very versatile.  If you want to ‘try before you buy’ checkout the free Moodle hosting services at Keytoschool.com.
