The eLearning Guild survey results are in and Moodle has been named the #1 Learning Management System for the 2nd year running. According to Learning Solutions Magazine 24% of respondents choose Moodle as their primary LMS (over Blackboard at 2nd with 17.5%),
In the same data source, market share among eLearning Guild members for Blackboard™ was 17.5%. (See Figure 2.) In May 2008, Blackboard and Moodle were neck and neck for the dominant position among eLearning Guild members for their LMS product usage, each with about 20% of the responses.
Note that the data did not incorporate Angel’s market share (Angel was recently acquired by Blackboard). If that data is included Bb’s market share is still a few points behind Moodle.
Great news for Moodlers worldwide and for Moodle HQ.
