College Credit for Moodle Profession Development

Did you know you can get credit for taking an online course to learn how to use Moodle?  It’s true.

IT4Educators and Atomic Learning together offer courses in a host of different educational technology subjects (podcasting, blogging, Google Docs, etc.) including Moodle in the Classroom.  Though the organization is not accredited, but course completers are eligible to receive credit from one of several higher education partners (there are fees involved with receiving credit).

The course, Moodle Integration, is facilitated by Ryan Semans and seemingly provides credit from University of St. ThomasChapman University College and or North Dakota State University.  The three credit course is $410.

This is the course description,

Use online, step-by-step tutorials, educational internet resources, and State and National curriculum and technology standards to achieve success in integrating Moodle into your lessons. Educators will learn how Moodle will enhance the content lessons inside and outside of school. Educators will also research ways that Moodle can help all learners. In addition to learning and implementing Moodle, educators will create motivational and relevant classroom activities, teacher support materials, and assessment tools. Learners will also participate in online discussions.

Other courses offered through this program seem all to be delivered through the IT4Ed Moodle site: http://moodle.it4eds.com/.
